As a website owner and content creator, it is best to write as many articles as you can, at least in the beginning. You know better than anyone what needs to be covered and how everything should be writer. You’re the subject matter expert so obviously, you’re the one who can ensure that the content of your site is high quality.

But if you want to create a huge volume of content on your site, there will come a time when you need help from other writers who understand what your site is about. The cost can vary per writer or article. Do you want to hire university students? The cost may be lower, compared to when you want to hire seasoned professionals.

Where can you find writers for your site? Here are some ideas:

1. Go to universities

Start reaching out to universities in your area. Post a job listing that you’re looking for interns or part-time writers. They do not have the same level of expertise as you do for your topic, but it will greatly help if you hire people who can do the research and write articles. You can then review and improve their output.

2. Post a job listing on Upwork

Online freelancing platform Upwork connects businesses with freelancers, professionals, and agencies all over the world. You can look for people with the right writing skills, and post a job listing where people can apply.

3. Post a job listing on LinkedIn

Another great platform to look for interns or part-time writers is LinkedIn. Create a company page and post the job with your requirements.

4. Put the job listing on your own website

If your site gets a decent amount of traffic, you may want to use it to look for part-time writers. Inform your users that you need people who will do some research and write articles for the site.

Other Tasks

When hiring writers, it is also ideal to outsource the writing tasks to people who can also handle some administrative work for you.

Uploading the articles on WordPress or whatever content management system that you use, editing articles, double-checking facts and figures – these are some of the tasks that can be assigned to other writers so you can free up some of your time to focus on writing or managing your site, in general.
